Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church offers many opportunities for returning our gifts of time, treasure and talent to God. As stewards of God-given skills and abilities, when we serve in a ministry, we thank God, share our faith with others, and enhance the life of our parish and community.
The guild cleans altar linens and church; arranges flowers, maintains candles for the altar, and decorates weekly and on religious feast days. Meetings consist of luncheon, time to socialize, short business meeting followed by a program or guest speaker with a religious topic.
This ministry is focused on those who have recently lost a loved one by practicing the Spiritual Works of Mercy: Comforting the Sorrowful and Praying for the Living and the Dead.
This program is for boys from the age of ten and a half to eighteen years old. The program includes life lessons, career lessons, leadership, obtaining goals, service projects, camping, high adventure and religious training. They train youth in Scouting Leadership Skills, Rank Advancement, Merit Badges, First Aid and CPR and other life skills.
Meets every Wednesday evening to give thanks to the Lord, to call on His name for parish intentions, to make known what he has done, and to sing praises to Him.

This ministry participates in the Catholic Relief Services (CRS) Fair Trade (FT) program by selling FT coffee and chocolate. They partner with Larry's Beans (larryscoffee.com), our local FT provider, and with Divine Chocolate (divinechocolate.com) to bring FT coffee and chocolate to the parish. Fair Trade is based on the principle that people should earn a fair profit for the items they produce.
This organization builds homes for deserving first time home buyers. Our volunteers assist in the construction process and provide meals. Construction skills of all levels are needed

Membership is limited to Catholic men aged 18 or older.

This ministry includes the following opportunities: Cantors (both adult and student) sing at 5 pm Masses every other weekend. Cecelia’s Choir sings for 9 am Sunday Mass (rehearsal at 7:30-9:00 pm Thursday evenings). Hand bells rehearsals on Thursday evenings 6:00-7:15 pm (during the school year). Instrumentalists – all competent instrumentalists are welcome. Lyric Children’s and Youth Choir sings for school Masses and weekend Masses 2 times per month.

Advises the pastor regarding any and all matters relating to the mission and life of the parish. Some members are elected from the congregation and others are appointed by the pastor.
This ministry promotes the Church’s teaching regarding the dignity of life from conception to natural death. They sponsor conferences, prayer services, and fundraising events to ensure the public is aware of the pro-life issues and opportunities.
This ministry helps refugees who have been persecuted for their ethnicity or religious or political beliefs in their country of origin. They nurture families, help them find housing, and assist with food, employment transportation, tutoring, budgeting, and legal issues.
The committe sponsors programs and events to create a parish attitude of generosity that is expressed in action; emphasizing that all people, things, and experiences are gifts from God.
This ministry helps Raleigh residents to resolve acute financial burdens that are currently affecting their lives. References for other assistance, services and counseling may also be provided.
Volunteer to greet and welcome parishioners before and after Mass, hand out programs, provide seating assistance, pick a family to bring up the gifts, as well as direct the offertory collection, Eucharist procession, and bulletin distribution. More ushers are needed, especially at the 5 p.m. and 11:30 am Masses.
