Fair Trade

For the past several years OLL parish has participated in the Catholic Relief Services (CRS) Fair Trade (FT) program by selling FT coffee and chocolate. We partner with Larry's Beans (larryscoffee.com), our local FT provider, and with Divine Chocolate (divinechocolate.com) to bring FT coffee and chocolate to you.

Fair Trade is based on the principle that people should earn a fair profit for the items they produce. It is a way for people to do business with each other without exploitation. It builds relationships between buyers and sellers that are rooted in the principles of human dignity and solidarity. It guarantees disadvantaged artisans, farmers, and workers a fair price for their goods while the customer gets a great product – in our case a great cup of coffee or bar of chocolate.

CRS works in partnership with Fair Trade organizations like Larry’s Beans and Divine Chocolate. When you buy the coffee and chocolate we are selling, you are demonstrating your commitment to live out Gospel values! You are making consumer choices that help lift our brothers and sisters around the world out of poverty! An additional reason to support our ministry is that the proceeds from the FT sales go to support the Children of God Ministry.  Like to help?
