A program for children, Preschool through Grade 5, the Faith Formation classes focus on the baptismal call to become followers of Jesus Christ. With an emphasis on Scripture and the traditions of the Catholic faith, students participate in the community's worship, prayer and service to others.
Parents, the first and best teachers in the faith, are supported by catechists working in partnership with them in the religious education of their children. Love of Christ and the Church, frequent reception of the Sacraments, prayer, and service are encouraged as parents fulfill the obligation to their children in the promises made at baptism.
Parents, catechists and the faith community join together in passing on the faith of the church to the next generation.
Adult volunteers are needed as catechists (teachers and co-teachers), substitute catechists and assistants to help with planning, publicizing or arranging activities as well as providing refreshments and clerical assistance.
We offer online, in person, and mail in registrations. Payments can also be made online, by check or cash.
Classes meet every other Sunday from 10:15AM - 11:15AM in the Elementary School Building, the other weekends are in Family Lessons that will be counted towards your student's
diocese requirement for faith formation.
2022-2023 Class Schedule
2023-2024 REGISTRATION FOR CHILDREN's FAITH FORMATION IS NOW OPEN:
We are excited to work with families to bring Jesus to all our children. This year you will hear more about the domestic church (the smallest body of gathered believers in Christ) and how this can grow ever stronger in your own home!
Our curriculum uses a blended learning approach of traditional print resources with digital tools and resources that can be used by catechists, parents/families, and students. The digital tools are mobile-friendly and available anytime, anywhere, on most Internet-accessible devices.
Our class size will follow our OLL School classroom guidelines for children. Children will meet in class which is called "in classroom" and be given home sessions which is called "in family". Each one will be graded as attendance to the faith formation school year and will occur on a biweekly time frame (1st Sunday "In Classroom", 2nd Sunday "In Family", 3rd Sunday "In Classroom"...), please refer to the schedule which indicates Holiday weekends that we also are not in class.
For those that are not able to attend faith formation in a classroom due to immune compromised children or family members, we will work through a plan to complete your child's faith formation requirements. Please contact the parish for more details.
